Large quantities of undeclared perfumes seized by customs and border officers at the Lesovo border checkpoint

2 000 undeclared perfumes with the logos of world-famous brands were seized by customs and border officers at Lesovo border checkpoint. They prevented 6 attempts for illegal import of perfumes from Turkey in the last ten days. Against violators were issued acts for violation of the Law of Customs. Under Regulation (EC) No 608/2013 and the Law on Marks and Geographical Indications and the trademarks, the official proprietors of the respective trademarks will be informed for the cases.

471 of seized smuggled perfumes were found in the Volkswagen Transporter with a Moldovan registration. The car arrived at Lesovo border checkpoint on October 9, 2017. The driver and passengers have declared that they do not import anything for declaring. At the request of the Border Police, a joint inspection was carried out by customs and border officers. During the inspection, the perfumes with the logos of 16 world-famous brands, including "Armani", "Lancome", "Dior", "Chanel", "Boss", "Paco Rabanne" and others were found in the trunk of the car. It was found that undeclared perfumes in packages of 50 to 100 ml are on the driver of the car- Moldavian citizen. More 390 undeclared perfumes with the logos of 21 world brands were seized during customs check in another car with Moldovan registration on 8 October 2017. On the same day, 115 smuggled perfumes in a minibus driven by a Moldovan citizen were seized by customs and border guards at Lesovo border checkpoint. More 436 undeclared perfumes were seized by customs officers at Lesovo BCP in the cab of a truck driven by a Turkish citizen, at the customs inspection of the vehicle and the load with X-ray equipment. In two other joint customs and border checks, 390 smuggled perfumes from a car with Moldovan registration and 198 perfumes from a minibus with Ukrainian registration were seized.
