Contraband gold jewelry found customs officers of Territorial Directorate „Yuzhna Morska“ and General Directorate "Customs Intelligence and Investigation" when checking a four cars of Kapitan Andreevo BCP, entering from Turkey in the last two weeks of August.

In one case on August 24, a car, arriving around noon, travels from Turkey to Austria with two men, Turkish nationals. Customs officers selected the car for thorough check. During the inspection the customs officers found, hidden in the natural cavities, on the floor and behind the front seats products of yellow metal - 51 rings, pendants, bracelets, chains, earrings and coins. According to the expert estimation gold jewelry were with a total 805 g are worth BGN 90 000. A statement for violation of the Monetary Law was issued against of the two men.

In the other three cases, on 13, 15, 21 August, customs officers upon checking of three cars entering the country from Turkey found a total of 789.25 grams of gold jewelry are worth BGN 48 900. The passengers had hidden their jewelry in bags next to the battery and to the spare tire, as well as in bags between clothes.

 A statement for violation of the Monetary Law was issued against of the offenders.
