549,600 pieces of illegal cigarettes were detained by customs officers of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department - Southwest in joint action with the authorities of SANS on 09.01.2019. On road stop check near the village of Grigorovo, Elin Pelin, is a freight minibus carrying construction panels. When looking at the goods, customs officials found that the panels were carved and contained a total of 27,480 boxes of cigarettes without the banderol, of the Royal Blue brand. Pre-trial proceedings were initiated under the supervision of the Elin Pelin District Prosecutor's Office.
