Transportation of freon without documents between legal goods was stopped by the customs officials from TD Customs Rousse.

Around 10:15 a.m. on 19.01.2025 on the ring road of the city Vidin, in the approach to Danube Bridge 2 - direction Romania, a freight train with a tractor, driven by a Bulgarian citizen, was stopped. The driver provides the customs officers with 4 bills of lading for groupage cargo transported by him. On the basis of a "risk analysis", the customs inspectors divert the vehicle to the Customs Office-Vidin for an X-ray inspection, during which areas of unusual density are identified. When opening the cartons, which on the documents contain chains for transport machines, it turns out that in reality they contain metal bottles marked for freon. The total amount of refrigerant gas discovered by the customs officials is 1620 kg. Due to the lack of documents for the found goods, the freon was detained to clarify its status and ownership.
