Customs officеrs seized more than 1800 "branded" perfumes in a truck with medical equipment

Customs officers from TD Rousse Customs detained 1803 "branded" perfumes during an inspection of a truck in the area of Danube bridge 2.

On 20.03.2023, the vehicle with Bulgarian registration arrived at the Danube Bridge 2 - Vidin - Calafat BCP on the outgoing route from Bulgaria. The driver, a Bulgarian citizen, announced that he was transporting medical equipment to Poland. Employees from the "Combating Drug Trafficking" department select the truck for customs inspection. In the course of the control actions, the customs officers discovered among the transported goods a pallet on which a large quantity of perfumes with designations of world-famous brands were loaded.

The identified total of 1803 "branded" perfumes were seized in compliance with Regulation (EU) No. 608/2013 on the protection of intellectual property rights. For this case the owners of the respective trademarks will be notified.
