Foreign nationals can import medicine containing narcotic drugs in accordance with article 58 of Bulgarian Drugs and precursors control act:
1) Persons transiting and temporarily residing on the territory of the country may possess medicinal products containing narcotic substances from the lists under Art. 3, para. 2, items 2 and 3 only for treatment in quantities not greater than those required for 30 days of treatment. It should be noted that tetrahydrocannabinols are not allowed in medicinal products.
2) Foreign citizens should have a document issued by the competent authorities of the country where the treatment is prescribed.
