Customs officers from “Customs Intelligence and Investigation” DG seized 240 packs of contraband veterinary medicinal products at Malko Tarnovo BCP. Undeclared medicines were found during customs check on a late-night arrival from Turkey on November 3, 2019, minibus, driven by a Bulgarian citizen. The driver and all 5 passengers in the van said they did not carry anything to declare. During the customs inspection, Customs officers find between the luggage of passengers 4 cartons containing a total of 240 factory packs of three different types of veterinary medicinal products. All packages bear indications that they are intended for the treatment of birds. It has been found that veterinary medicines are the property of the van driver - Bulgarian citizen with initials Н.М. An act for violation of the Customs Act was drawn up against him.

This is the third case of detained smuggling medical drugs of the Malko Tarnovo BCP in recent days. Another 13 packs of injection systems - Genotropin growth hormone pens were found in the luggage of two passengers entering the country, following a joint inspection by customs and border guards at the point in October. In the first case, 7 packets of Genotropin were hidden in a laundry detergent box in a bag of a Turkish citizen traveling by bus. Another 6 packs of Genotropin were found in the bag of a Polish citizen traveling by car. The contraband drugs were seized. Acts were drawn up for administrative violations.
