Georgi Dimov and Sezai Ucarmak discussed the development of customs checkpoints between Bulgaria and Turkey
Trade relations between Bulgaria and Turkey and the effectiveness of customs procedures were discussed at an official meeting in Ankara between the Director of the National Customs Agency Georgi Dimov and the Turkish Deputy Minister of Trade Sezai Ucarmak.
The official meeting took place on February 20, 2025. During the talks the delegations commented on customs issues between Turkey and Bulgaria.
At the meeting an assessment was made of the situation regarding the customs points between Turkey and Bulgaria and consultations were held on the planned activities for their modernization in the upcoming period given their importance for Bulgaria and Turkey, as well as for regional and international trade.
The focus of the meeting was placed on the importance of cooperation between customs administrations for more efficient use of the railway line between the two countries and for facilitating the passage through customs checkpoints on both sides of the border.
