On the night of May 24, 2020 at Kapitan Andreevo BCP  arrives truck with a semi-trailer attached, registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina entering the country  from Turkey . The truck driven by 33-year-old D.C., a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina has transported auto parts to Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the inspection customs officers found in the driver's cab, under the rest couch, several boxes and a bag  200 packets of brown powder. In a field drug test, the substance reacted like heroin, with a total gross weight of 100,440 kg. As a result of the quick actions of the customs and police authorities, it was also established that two other citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina were involved in the smuggling - D.D. and B.G. who have traveled almost parallel to another truck, but no drugs were found in it.

The investigation on the initiated pre-trial proceeding is carried out by an investigating customs inspector under the supervision of the Haskovo District Prosecutor's Office.

The three men were detained for 24 hours. They are to be brought as defendants under Art. 242 para 4 item 1 in conjunction with para. 2 pr. 1 supra art. 20 para. 2 of the Penal Code and detained for a period of 72 hours by a decree of the supervising prosecutor. The Haskovo District Prosecutor's Office will also submit a request to the court to take a measure of restraint "detention in custody" against them.
