From 1 June 2020 the INF SP system shall be used for the standardised exchange of information with regards to goods, placed under inward or outward processing procedures

From 1 June 2020 the INF SP system (UCC Information sheets for special procedures) shall be used for the standardised exchange of information (INF) with regards to goods, placed under inward or outward processing procedures in accordance with Article 181 of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/2446 (DA), between customs authorities and between economic operators and customs authorities.
With the implementation of the INF SP system, the transitional rules for the standardised exchange of information on the basis of Article 181(5) of the DA and Article 23 of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/341 (Transitional RD) which allows to use paper based information sheets cannot be used anymore. The INF central system replaces INF sheets on paper format, which are currently used to exchange information between customs authorities on inward and outward processing procedures (INF1, INF2, INF5, INF9). In this regard, INF1 (Tarik code C603), INF2 (Tarik code C604), INF5 (Tarik code C606) and INF 9 (Tarik code C610) will be abolished as physical documents as of 1 June 2020, but these information sheets on paper which are accepted and certified by the customs authorities before that date shall continue to be in force and may be processed after 1 June.
The electronic INFs issued in the INF SP system shall be coded with the newly created Tarik document code C700 - information sheet, and should be specified in the relevant customs declaration, re-export declaration or re-export notification where there is a reference to a standardised exchange of information.
