Regarding of the changes in public SSL/TLS certificates and changes in the policies of the main browsers (Google, Mozilla, Apple, Microsoft), relating to the removing Client Authentication, Enhanced Key Usage(EKU) from SSL/TLS certificates, as of March 16, 2026, for establishing S2S communication for Economic Operators to the Information systems of the Bulgarian National Customs Agency, an Qualified Certificate for Electronic Seals, which is not recorded on USB or Smart card, will also be used.

The Electronic Certificates that Economic Operators should use for S2S connection with the Information systems of the Bulgarian Customs Agency must contain the value Client authentication in the Enhanced Key Usage field and be issued by Qualified Trust Service Providers.

Economic operators will be able to continue using their current SSL certificates until the expiration of their validity.
